North Peak District

Registration is closed for this event
The Peak District is an area of outstanding natural beauty with moors and dales, rivers, springs and caverns. Join us to discover it for yourself.

This trip explores the North Peaks, otherwise known as “the Dark Peak”.

We will spend a couple of hours in the morning at the picturesque Ladybower Reservoir, a photo opportunity and time for a walk. Then onto the famously pretty village of Castleton known as “the gem of the Peaks”.  You will have time here to have lunch and a look around before you end the day with a tour of Treak Cliff Cavern, famous for its blue john semi precious stone, unique to this area.  The cavern houses some of the most beautiful cave formations.  Websites: peakdistrict.gov.uk, bluejohnstone.com, castleton.co.uk, visitpeakdistrict.com

PLEASE NOTE: Good walking clothing and shoes are essential for this trip
