FAQs

Where do the classes take place?
This class will take place at the University of Manchester's Students' Union on Oxford Road: International Society, c/o UMSU, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9PR. When you arrive for your class, you can check in our ground floor reception where the class will take place.

What should I bring to the class?
The teacher will provide all the material for the class. All you need to bring is pen and paper to take notes.

Can I get a refund?
You can only claim a refund before your second lesson. This enables you to attend one lesson and see if the class is suitable for you. If you decide to leave before this deadline then you must claim your refund from the main International Society office.​ You will get back the registration fee minus the cost of the classes that have already taken place.

 Also, if we have been unable to provide all the lessons paid for by the end of the term (due to teacher illness for example) we will also refund you the cost of these classes. All refunds must be claimed before the end of that term of classes. Refunds (and registrations) are not transferable to pay for another class or another service at the Society nor can they be transferred from one term to the next. You are responsible for claiming your refund before the end of the refund period.

Please note there is a £1 administration charge for any refund given.

Can I change class?
If you find that the class you have joined is not of a suitable level, you can change to another class providing there is available space in the class you’d like to move to.

THE SOCIETY AND STAFF CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE, LOSS, OR INJURY SUSTAINED BY PARTICIPANTS IN INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY CLASSES.
